This exhibition is one of the largest spaceflight expos in Europe. Visitors are immersed in an engaging story about the history and future of space exploration. Original artifacts and historical documents — such as letters from Neil Armstrong, flight schedules, and NASA replicas of Sputnik, Vostok, Saturn V, the Apollo Capsule, Lunar Lander, and Shuttle — make the exhibition unique.
The interactive scenography guides visitors of all ages through the adventurous world of spaceflight: from the first human in space to future missions to Mars. Video, audio, and game elements enrich the experience: adults listen to anecdotes narrated by Lieven Scheire, children play Mission Mini Astronaut, and students developped a Docking Game to connect a spacecraft to the ISS themselves.
The route alternates atmospheric projections, space tunnels, impressive models, and monumental replicas with spectacular settings: a lunar landscape with the Lunar Lander, the cockpit of the Atlantis Shuttle, and a prototype of the Mars Hub.
The exhibition is designed to travel, with reuse as a key principle. The backbone of the exhibition, the space tunnel, is conceived as a modular kit and can be assembled in different configurations depending on the location. The various construction elements are easy to store and transport.
