A photographic portrait of a city by the sea: photographer Maurice Antony (1883–1963) captured Ostend in his time — from the sea and the beach to the harbour, the fishing industry, and the artistic scene. His photographs appeared in local and international magazines and form a unique record of the interwar period. The exhibition presents a selection of his work and that of his brother Robert, complemented by reflections from contemporary top Belgian photographers on their impressive oeuvre.
