For Head Turning, artist Rik Delrue interviewed more than two hundred people with dementia, along with their families and caregivers. The socio-artistic project makes the impact of dementia visible and breaks the prevailing taboo. In the scenography, different types of mirrors reflect the experience of the disease: blurry films refer to the fading memory, while sharp, disorienting fragments evoke moments of clear but fragmented recollections.
