BURN

From fire hazard to burn-out: BURN explores the history of workplace safety and well-being, without a fixed route. Visitors choose which modules to explore and where to linger.

The scenography makes extensive use of scaffolding pipes: a nod to being “under construction,” a metaphor for personal growth, and simultaneously a structural element. They define spaces, support images and text, protect objects, and shape a playful, dynamic layout.

A central experience zone connects the exhibition islands via four cocoons, each equipped with technologies that stimulate different senses. Consistent use of materials and colours makes the entire experience feel cohesive. Contrasts in material and colour — hard versus soft, red versus yellow — reflect the tensions surrounding safety and well-being. Subtle references to workplace iconography, such as markings and symbols, enhance the experience.

The scaffolding pipes and grids are reused for future exhibitions after BURN, illustrating sustainability and modular design.
