The 50th anniversary of 3FM was the occasion for a temporary, interactive exhibition within the Sound and Vision Experience. The focus was on 30–50-year-olds and their children, with 50–70-year-olds as a secondary audience. The goal was to connect generations, not only through music but also via social media and interactive tools.
The concept of “plugging in” allowed visitors to discover exhibits through headphones, where 3FM DJs spoke to them directly. Visitors could listen together, watch along, and virtually enter a radio studio via Oculus Rift. Additionally, there were 3D mapping projections and a live connection with the studio.
Each visitor logged in with an RFID ring, personalizing the experience based on musical taste, birth year, and gender. In this way, visitors could relive their adolescence, while children were introduced interactively to the music of their parents.
