The 2014 restyling of RTL Nieuws marked a milestone in technical innovation. For the first time, active green-screen techniques and Augmented Reality were combined in the news environment. The design is clear, fresh, contemporary, and instantly recognizable, based on “frames” – the borders around all screens on which we follow the news.
In 2025, this design will be refreshed after more than ten years, while retaining its core values: clarity, innovation, and recognizability.
