Van Gogh’s Inner Circle

Vincent is often portrayed as a lonely man who was not highly appreciated during his lifetime. However, this exhibition shows that this image is not accurate. Vincent was not only passionate and extraordinarily driven, but he also maintained intensive and long-term relationships with many people.

The exhibition offered an in-depth introduction to the man behind the artist, through his drawings, paintings, portraits, letters, and sketchbooks. Visitors gained insight into his personality, his relationships, and the ways in which these connections influenced his work and vision.

The exhibition route was designed to be intimate and welcoming, with warm colors and natural materials that enhanced the experience of his work. Hand-drawn infographics guided visitors through the exhibition, making complex information accessible and relatable.

Through the combination of personal objects, thoughtful scenography, and graphic support, visitors were able to experience Vincent van Gogh as a human being, not only as an artist. The exhibition showed that his life and work were closely connected to his social and emotional world and offered an authentic and moving experience of his motivations, passions, and relationships.
